  • Amateur Theatrical

    We are always in need of new members to join us. Not just members who act, we also need people who will help backstage, front stage, with scenery and costumes, lighting and sound and generally helping us with the running of our performances.
    We meet in Whittington Village Hall, Langton Crescent in Whittington (next door to ‘The Bell’ pub) on Tuesday evenings at 8.00 pm until approximately 10.30pm. As we get nearer to the dates of a production, we usually have extra rehearsals. These can be on a Thursday evening and/or on a Sunday Afternoon. Junior HATS meets on Sundays at Whittington Village Hall between 3 and 5pm and caters for 8-16 year olds.

Junior Hats

Junior HATS was formed in 2005 by Jane Beach, Lee McGowan and Anita Findlay. After local children had been invited to take part in “Dick Whittington” and “The Wind In the Willows”, it was decided to form a permanent children’s group to run alongside the main society. Their first show was “The Vegetable Plot” in September 2005, written by members of Junior HATS and the group leaders.  Since then they have staged the Wizard of OZ, Bugsy Malone and have taken part in adult productions. 
Junior HATS provides a drama group for the children of Whittington and surrounding areas. It runs as its own entity and also supports adult HATS for shows such as pantomimes. It acts as a ‘training ground’ for future members of the adult group, bringing forward the next generation of members.
Junior HATS meets on Sundays at Whittington Village Hall between 3 and 5pm and caters for 8-16 year olds.
