Who are we?

Hello…. and welcome to our website.  We are Harlequin Amateur Theatrical Society, known as  ‘H.A.T.S. Drama’  for short.

As you can see we are an Amateur Dramatic  group, and we entertain  audiences from the Lichfield and Tamworth areas in South Staffordshire.

We have been performing  Plays,  Pantomimes,  Revues, Murder Mysteries, and  Themed Evenings since 2004, and our shows are staged in The Village Hall , Whittington, near Lichfield.

We also have a Junior Group, which meets on Sunday Afternoons during school term time.

It is called ‘Junior HATS’ and meets from 3.00pm until 5.00pm.

We are always in need of new members to join us.  Not just members who act, we also need people who will help backstage, front stage, with scenery and costumes, lighting and sound and generally  helping us with the running of our performances.

We meet in Whittington Village Hall, Langton Crescent in Whittington (next door to ‘The Bell’ pub)  on Tuesday evenings at 8.00 pm until approximately 10.30pm. As we get nearer to the dates of a production, we usually have extra rehearsals. These can be on a Thursday evening and/or on a Sunday Afternoon.
